As I do every year, here is my traditional update on my nieces & nephew (clockwise from top left, not counting my
mom).

With my mom. |
Emi is now a Resource Lab Manager at LCC Waianae. This means she does some academic advising, runs the placement
testing and online tests for professors and Web CT courses, oversees the tutoring, and some IT stuff. Jack
of all trades, sound familiar? On weekends please visit her at Banana Republic in Waikele.

Little "Ooperman" is now gigantic, as you can see, and majoring in art at the University of Hawaii. Thanks to the dorm
shortage, he & his buds live off campus in Palolo, and my cousins Marc Hino and Nicole Chew live downstairs. Small
world! Jeff still works at Verbano in Kaimuki.

Morgen is spending her entire junior year in Beijing in a School Year Abroad program. She claims she had never
really traveled anywhere, so this presented an excellent opportunity for our little achiever!

Cymri, 20 (21 on Dec. 26)
Cymri, currently still underage but knows how to drink, is living in Santa Monica and attends Santa Monica
City College. She works at the Grand Lux Cafe, which is a sister restaurant to the Cheesecake Factory. Many people
still think she and Ahnya are twins, much to her chagrin.
Ahnya is currently working in a law office downtown and spends much of her time performing at Diamond Head Theatre.
Many of my friends had high praise for her performance as a plate and a napkin in this year's production of "Beauty &
the Beast," but she also had a very prominent role in "The Full Monty."
